smartypants asked:

When you get your refilled cartridge from Walgreen’s does your printer still say the cartridge is empty?

But the store employee said to do something particular with my computer and printer like reset or something Does anyone know how I would do this?

Many of today’s new printers do NOT allow refilling. Once the chip on the cartridge registers empty, many of them can not be reset. Refilling is a dangerous practice and can destroy your printer. You are best off buying new (not remanufactured) cartridges. If you want to save money, buy compatible ones. You can read about it at

Select printer cartridges, when they are refilled, can not be reset. Others can. The main thing is does your printer still print the way it should. Since Walgreen’s doesn’t have a warranty on their refill, if it doesn’t work, you have to work hard to get your money back.

Most ink levels are estimates only. Sometimes they are good, other times not so good. I know on some of the cartridges I sell and refill, some of the levels work and others don’t.

Check with your printer driver to see if it has a way to install new cartridges and that might reset your ink levels
