I missed the one random drug test we had at our store. It sounded pretty exciting, like maybe you get a little break from work. Apparently they brought in some sort of lab on a bus or something of the sort. I was wondering how long it usually takes to get this done though. Do they make you urinate on the spot or does everyone just keep working until they have to urinate or how exactly does this work?

You don’t miss that much work. They take you in the bathroom and you have a jar which you urinate into. That’s it. They get the results pretty fast. You won’t know exactly what they are testing for. If you refuse you are fired. Its not that much fun.
Some person comes from an independent testing agency and sets up his paperwork and stuff in a room in your store. Usually the break room, training room or office. Then he takes people back one by one to pee in cup in bathroom. Sometimes they test everybody on duty, sometimes they only test certain job positions. Also, they tape off stuff in the bathrooms and pour dyes into the water to prevent you from cheating. When theyre done, they ship all the samples off to the lab and the results come back to the store managers email in about one week. (Except for the positive results, if there are any of those, they will come back after about 3-5 weeks).
