sexydominicano4you asked:

I told my sister that i wanted a job because i’m very responsible like that, i’m 13 years old, she told me that i have to be at least 14 years old to have a job at Walgreen’s, is that really true? Is it true that i have to be 14 years old to work? Please someone answer my question because i want to know if i can, and if i can then i will get that job when i’m 14 years old.

It depends on which state you live in.

no thats false. In the US you have to be atleast 16 years of age to work. If younger that would be considered illegal, and you would have to get paid under the table.

    No. That would be illegal.

i dont think you can get a job THAT young… maybe if you wait 2 or 3 years till you’re 15 or 16…possibly, but if you say you are as responsible as you are, then its lookin good 4 your future…l0l

Your sister is wrong you have to be 16 to get a job at a company it’s called the federal child labor law, untill then mow yards, sell lemonade or shine shoes.. But if you ask me don’t worry about working, you sound like a really great responsible kid.. Enjoy your childhood it’s the only one you’ll ever have..

First of all let me tell you how much I admire your enthusiasm to work. Not a lot of people your age are ready to take this step. However, I am pretty sure you have to be at least 15. Now I am not positive, because it may be different in different states. I am from Indiana, I remember being 15 when I went to work and I had to get a work permit to be able to do it, which is not difficult. So if you do need to get a permit don’t worry there is no test or anything, it’s just a little legal thing you have to do. Good luck to you. I can already tell you are going to go places in this world.
