Back in the days when they made lamps and still do in todays time but now they are just stamped, the makers of antique lamps would sign the lamp after it was created. Usually they would sign it on the bottom of the base of the lamp. Sometimes they would sign it on the inside seam of the lamp shade. And ever so often but not too much, the maker of the lamp would sign it on the inside of the base of the lamp. They would do this before the base was sealed together. It is these lamps that are worth the most money.
