If your 15 going on 16 then it should be fine, don’t be concerned too much about your age as it shouldn’t be a problem id more concerned about either your limited experience or your ability to make a resume full of believable bullshit

I’m pretty sure they min. age for both of those places is 16.

(and in response to above you don’t need a resume for either of those places.. especially not walmart. Also, I know people that worked at walmart before the age of 18… that thing about “because they sell guns” is incorrect. As long as you’re not the one selling guns, it doesnt matter.)

I have 6 teenagers. We live within walking distance from several businesses; Walgreen’s, Ace Hardware, Kwik Trip, Culver’s, Michael’s Frozen Custard, the local grocery store, Mobile, McDonald’s and Citgo.

When oldest turned 14, she had to get a job. When she checked at Walgreen’s, we found out that you have to be 17. At 14 she could work at Culver’s or the local grocery store, these were not acceptable.

I work at home on line. She asked me to look for something for her. I did some research. The best site with the largest job selection and most helpful resources for teens was:

Oh, I do believe that you have to be at least 17 to work at WalMart also, but I am not absolutely positive.

I thought that you should know that if you can’t find a place to work near you to work, you have other options. Since you have access to a computer and know how to use it, you might be interested in working on line.

Good luck with your first job. I’m sure you’ll do great.
